SlingPlayer Mobile for iPhone demo

Good news: Sling has confirmed that it will bring SlingPlayer Mobile to iPhone/iPod Touch, so you will get stream TV directly on you iPhone/iPod Touch.

Great! It that true? Yes, how about a video demo of SlingPlayer Mobile for iPhone:

Bad news: The software showed in the video was just a "pre-alpha proof-of-concept", it was not released.

"Apple hasn't officially accepted them into the developer program yet. So what we've seen is basically an app developed out of bounds for jailbroken devices -- thus it goes without saying that Sling won't be releasing it until they can do so legitimately. "

When could i get SlingPlayer Mobile for iPhone? Sling might release it by sometime this fall or winter, if everything goes well.

Do you usually bring more than one mobile phones with you? And they are kept in you pocket? Oh, i'm afraid there is some bad news for you then. Look at this, four mobile phones can pop popcorn:

So if you do need to carry some mobile phones, please don't put them in you pant's pocket.;-)

This time rumor comes from the very reliable FT, bring in the following information:

"The new version of the Apple iPhone is set to be sold at significantly lower prices than the existing one, in a tacit acknowledgement by the US technology company that its previous sales strategy was not sustainable.

Apple has bowed to pressure from mobile phone operators and agreed they can subsidise the latest iPhone, expected to be unveiled by Steve Jobs, Apple’s chief executive, on Monday."

It seems that Apple finally agrees to allow mobile carriers to subsidize the iPhone. This is a great news, especially for AT&T customers, because they can receive a $200 credit or rebate with a 2-year contract at AT&T while the new iPhone would still cost $399 at Apple stores, according to MacRumors.

You have seen that mysterious box which claimed to be sent by Apple to Australia reseller. What's inside that box? Someone says there is a new iPhone with a front camera in the box, because he/she unboxed it. Pretty good, huh?

But both Gizmodo and Engadget say the photo is fake:

From Gizmodo:

"I don't even think Apple considers using cardboard in their boxes unless it's covered in a glossy finish."

From Engadget:

"Hey look, that NDA box which Apple never, ever sends was opened to reveal a severely misaligned reflection. "

They must be right. :->

Not enough rumors? Now there are more. A Vodafone employee has provided further details of 3G iPhone(iPhone2) to iPhone Atlas, you will be surprised by them i think:

"The back is gloss black.

The 4 models we have have a black skin wrapped around the back and glued into place. This is how they came from Apple.

All are running v2.0 of the firmware.

The bootloader hardware exploit is now fixed.

The phone is running V 04.41.01 modem software.

The phone is locked down like no phone has ever been. At this stage, you can’t jailbreak it and you can’t hardware unlock it.

There is an added icon for contacts. This allows you to go straight to your contacts without having to hit the Phone icon first.

The GPS works very well. It will attempt to obtain your position via WiFi first, cell tower second, then satellite third. The accuracy appears to be within 3 meters.

We were getting a data transfer of 140kbps on average. It droped down to 70 kbps when we went inside.

Apart from that, the “feel” is much the same. The phone is smaller (I would say 20 percent) and it is noticable when you pick the unit up."

Good news and some very bad news:-(
If they were true.
